Boycott? Why stop there? I'm planning to bring ANet to the attention of the U.N. security council. This is serious business.

There's no denying Anet dropped the ball on a number of points, but there is no going back now. It has its own momentum and they made their choices in terms of schedule, resource allocation and a close-to-the-chest sort of CR stance. I dont agree with it, but there's no changing it. Nothing we can do but wait and they are banking that when GW2 comes out, we'll all be there. We might. We might not. There's no way to know.

They are guilty of unspeakable Crimes against Humanity!!!
/sarcasm

Good luck in your THREAT of a one person Boycott to BLACKMAIL Anet for creating a game that you say is broken and the rest of us still play regardless.

Wouldn't it make more sense to host a "Do not log in" Weekend rather telling a company you are not going to buy something that is 1/4 ready? Apparently the Ursan nerf is coming...just hope it's not the weekend before GW2 comes out.

1) Unless anyone here has full access to Anet's financial books, noone is in the right place to say what money is, or isn't there, and what resources can be allocated where. Anet is not Blizzard, or I.D, or Square Enix. If we want GW2 as soon as possible we have to accept that, with limited resources, those resources are going to GW2. In an unlimited resource world we can add without subtracting from another. That's not how it works though.

2) Ectos were never designed to be the balance in trading. That was designed by the players and should be up to the players to correct. When you deal with an item that is going to move up and down in price it's the risk you take. Perhaps players need to find an item that remains stagnant, or with less movement. ZKeys are already being used, but also Lockpicks, Black Dye, white dye, Superior Vigor. There are other options out there. Make use of them instead of asking Anet to hold your hands.

3) We've been informed changes to Ursan are coming and even though that should make many happy, it will only lead to additional complaints of incompetence on Anet's behalf for being "Durr 8 months too late! "

4) It's easy if you've been here for 3+ years. To the rookie, who hasn't unlocked every skill, hasn't played through each compaign, who doesn't know each mission like the back of their hand, who doesn't know builds, enemy builds, counters, fixes.....well, it's not easy. 20 months playing now and I can't believe the NF mission with Shiro took me 15 times to finally complete. Nowadays? It's a cakewalk...and no, I don't use Ursan.

5) I don't know what "Illusion" it is you speak of about it coming soon if Anet spoke up, but - http://guildwars.com/products/guildwars2/gw2faq/ We've already been told it's not going to be anytime soon.

Yes, things are broken in areas, but the world is not even close to coming to an end and I'm not going to buy into the hysteria some seem to want to create. If you want to create a negative atmosphere 24/7 by preying on the hysteria, waving your pitchfork, or the "World is Ending" mentality, you're adding to this downfall and you're a big cause of this downfall as much as your perception of the mismanagement on Anets behalf.

I'm not boycotting anything.

Did anyone actually read what I wrote and tried to understand where I was coming from, or just skim through it and automatically label it a QQ thread? just wondering...

Elitist QQ'ers killed my godmode.

You can't call people elitist just because of something like a skill change for the economy. You can't call people elitist because a skill gave you practical godmode.

Oh, and Hurdlebeast is correct.

To recap: 2 years from now, you are demanding that Guild Wars 1 receive a slew of updates so you can stop playing it and move onto Guild Wars 2. Yeah, that makes sense.

If you don't want to play, don't play, there's no need to throw tantrums about it.

I skimmed, realized it was stupid, then made a snarky comment. I'm a busy man.

Yes, I read the whole thing.

It was seriously misinformed and quite badly thought out.

Not to mention you obviously have no idea of the economics behind a large commerical software company.

Finally, you understood quite well the potential (and probability) of this turning into a flamefest.

You posted an ill-conceived notion and expect us to follow it. Reality check - oops!

No, i'm not saying we boycott it two years from now. That would be pointless. I'm saying we create the threat of a boycott, to make Anet think about it. The no-login weekend is a very good idea, IMO, to prove that we mean business.

My favorite part was where he threatened to boycott GW2 unless they released GW2 news.
